Sofia Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara was born and lived at Barranquilla, Colombia. Her mother, Margarita Vergara Davila De Vergara, works as a housewife. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo is her father. He is the one who provides livestock for the industry of the meat. Five siblings are hers. She was educated at the private bilingual school that was Spanish/English. After completing her pre-dentistry studies, Sofia began to work as a model and television business. But, Sofia was discovered by a photographer, whilst at the beach, and this brought her to different jobs as a model and a TV host. After her 23rd birthday she began her career as a model. From 1995 to 1998, she co-hosted a travel show, Fuera de serie (1995) in which she gained fame in and around the United States. Her debut film role came on the crime drama Big Trouble (2002). Gloria Delgado Pritchett was the character that helped her become popular on Modern Family, an American show on television (2009). In the period 2010-2013, she won three Emmy nominations in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress on the field of Comedy Series for this role. Sofia lives in Los Angeles, California with her son Manolo.
